About Journal of the Korean Society for Aviation and Aeronautics

Aims Firstly, The Korean Society for Aviation and Aeronautics (KSAA) aims at conducting research for both the aviation and also aerospace studies. This is mainly due to the fact that the Korean air law deals with aircrafts that fly into the atmosphere. Spacecraft, also flies into the atmosphere and is hence considered as a type of aircraft according to the Korean air law. Therefore, the society seeks theories and scientific studies on occurrences in the atmosphere. These comprises of studies on the atmosphere, meteorology, thermodynamics, hydromechanics and environmental engineering. Secondly, the KSAA aims at developing pilot training through research on fundamentals of piloting, pilot education and aviation psychology. This purpose shall be achieved by either theoretical or scientific studies of flight information and procedure, flight navigation theories, instrumental flight theories, other operation related technic improvement and airspace management (flight plan, changes of flight plan and reserved airspace). Thirdly, the KSAA would also be conducting research on personnel management and facilities. This includes studies on personnel organizations and personnel management such as personnel selection, training and qualification, personnel welfare management. In relation to facilities, there will be new knowledge and theories on design of aviation airport, security and additional facilities, methods and management of operation through research studies. The studies will be developed by established academic theories, scientific investigation and academic research.

한국항공운항학회는 항공 산업의 성장과 지속적인 발전을 뒷받침하고 항공운항분야의 체계 정립과 운항기술향상을 위한 학문연구와 적용을 위하여 1993년 3월5일에 창립되었습니다. 초대회장으로 김재환 교수가 선임되었으며 년 1회 한국항공운항학회지를 발간하기로 결의되어 1993년 12월에 창간호가 발간되었습니다. 한국항공운항학회는 연구조사와 개발, 연구논문집 발간 및 도서출판 등을 통하여 항공운항의 학문증진과 항공 산업의 발전에 기여하고 있습니다. 또한, 2009년에는 17권4호의 역사를 가진 한국항공운항학회지가 한국학술진흥재단 등재지로 선임되었으며 국내유일의 항공운항과 관련된 학회로 발돋움하고 있습니다. 연구분야는 다음과 같습니다. 1) 항공운항기술 및 기준 (기술정보, 시험비행, 모의비행장치, 비행교육), 2) 항공안전(사고조사, 비행안전), 항공기상, 항공의학, 항공우주법, 환경보호, 3) 항공기 탑재장비 및 계기, 항행안전시설, 4) 항공교통관리, 항공정책, 공역관리, 비행장관리, 정비관리, 항공경영
